Strictly Business....

For a while I was on a kick with drawing business suits and this is an example of it. I was also having fun playing with a very androgynous look when it came to women suits, whether broad shoulders or the colors I used . This one was me just being artistic with it and experimenting with colors when it comes to painting.

On the flip side I still like to do suits with a more feinine take by having the blazer cut in at the waist and flaring out just a bit,(it looks better on paper...)

Whether this is a male or a female, I don't know...

Sketching...

I have been sick since Thanksgiving, I know horrible time to be sick! So while not eating the wonderful sweet potato pie, baked macaroni, greens, ham and turkey, I drew a few designs. this will be the only one you'll be seeing cause I hated the other...
This is pretty much me trying to sketch out ideas for my own fall collection, I've been sketching out designs for coats like crazy, I'm pretty sure thouh that its because of the dropping of the tempature.

This one was a random one and makes me wish for spring and summer... Every now and then I like to do these bohemian-indie-whatever else it brings to you designs. I love mathing around patterns and colors.

Rue Paul Inspires Me...?

So a friend of mine has me hooked on Rue Pauls Drag U. I have always gone against reality shows like this, especially ridiculous things like this. I dont like reality T.V. have always hated it, however.... I now really like, I mean really like(I'm avoiding using "love") Drag U.
I dont know if its the exaggeration if every single thing on their body, or maybe that they love being fabulous(Who doesnt!) or the fact that most of them are more feminine than actual women...
Besides that, this is what you have after sitting watching Drag U with a classmate every Art period.
I drew this harping on exaggeration and sexyness of being a Drag Queen. Is that weird to associate men dressing as women with sexyness?
Forgive the horrible scanning, the picture was too big...

French Inspiration

I'm in love with French culture most notably, as seen by my profile, Marie Antoinette. Besides her helping with leading France into turmoil and all the many things that ensued(I'm assuming that you know from history class...)

I dont believe this is Marie Antoinette but this little sketch was inspired by my love for 17th-18th century clothing. The designs were so detailed and intircate and the craftsmenship was amazing. I am truely in love with the clothes back then.
And as you can see just by this small sketch it only takes me a few minutes to start rambling about this topic...

Been gone for a while…

I've been crazy busy for a while with college stuff, senior year, homework and everything else that involves the stressful, expensive, busy time that's known as senior year. However I have been sketching to my heart's content in between that and deciding on the future fashion school that I may be considering. Either way, I'm back and for these next few post I'm pretty much going to be posting everything from my art class were I'm trying to maybe create my own collection, and hopefully a portfolio.
