Almost There...
OK, so I could go and say that I've been busy and blah, blah, blah, but I say that all the time! So lets get to it!
Prom is almost here (one week away) and after seeing my dress and what it looks like it really feels like my design has come to life. It'll be great when I can sew it myself someday!
Last thing to add I am now officially an incoming freshman of -drum roll- Virginia Commonwealth University or VCU! I'm extremely excited and I hope I can keep this blog as I go through college so I can show how much I change over the years.
P.S. I will upload something! I cant promise when but I will!

Some pieces...
Sooo...., here are a few pieces that have been done over the course of my absence, that I'm really excited about! First is my prom dress:
This is the dress that I will be wearing to prom, I designed it and my cousin Xavier (Who is the best!) is making it for me. This dress I've been thinking of ever since I started thinking seriously of prom. Also after seeing, can't-remember-her-name, in a mermaid dress at the Oscars, I wanted that dress. Its so sleek.
This was my mid-term assignment that I was really happy about, It just shows that my style has changed so much. this isn't a full fashion piece like my others but, the whole point of this one was to incorporate how I draw fabric and my love of the 18th century look.
So these are just a few of the many that I've drawn, but I have taken a break on the fashion pieces because I'm not drilling out so many for my college portfolio! Although if you ever want to see anything different from me it's all on here: DeviantArt

Finally!
I feel bad that I've been gone for forever but school, scholarships and A.P Classes have been keeping me busy! In other news though, I've now been accepted to all three of my schools that I applied to, Virginia Commonwealth, Drexel and Cazenovia. So right now I'm in the decision making process.
My computer was acting up so it has been gone for a while but now it is back and I'm ready to start uploading again! I also just finished a peice in A.P. Art that I like so I'll be sure to upload that too.
Yaaay to me finally being back on the computer!

I'm Here Again
So as you can see by the fact that I haven't posted anything in probably a month, I've been extremely busy! I've been building portfolios, doing all of that college preparation junk and with all that work, I've now been accepted into Cazenovia and Virginia Commonwealth University! So with that, here's all of what I haven't loaded up with in that span of time:

The center and one on the right were added to my portfolio, I really enjoyed drawing the cheetah print on the dress and now I sorta want some piece of clothing cheetah print. Although when it comes to cheetah print you cant go over board... or you'll look like you killed a pack of cheetah.
The lest one is not my favorite but I do like when people turn the nerd look cool, whether its the glasses or adding a nice bow tie. Speaking of bow ties...
That center look was inspired by just a bow tie and a little inspiration from the sartorialist. This also makes me feel like I really need a bow tie...
So that's all for right now, BUT, I will try to be more consistent with uploading!

Nothing Much to Say....
There truely is nothing much to say. I have finelly sent my application in to VCU, so now the three main schools I'm looking at now have my application, however I am still not done my portfolio!
I know I should have started forever ago, but, It's hard to know what should be put in one ecspecially when you are your own worst enemy. Either way this is the latest bit of designs I've done:

Just a few hoopskirts...
This was my first of the small series I created of 18th century clothing with a twist. I’ve always loved clothing like this, as you can see by the many posts I do with designs or ideas like this, however, this one feels just a bit different. I don’t know if it’s the way that I drew it this time that makes me like it or the fact that this looks like a completely different style compared to how I’m usually drawing.
Now that I had all these ideas stuck in my head after drawing the first one I then decided to make a whole series of these sweet little ladies that I had in my head. I really can’t call it a series considering there are only three, but I’ve never done pieces that all relate in some way like this and are all produced from the same idea. Usually what happens when I get this crazy idea to do another one like it, the next one turns out crappy…
I guess I just wanted to make it the more scandalous!

Street-wear
When doing these two I was more of trying to experiment with: one the paint and two drawing my designs out and trying to draw different things.
This is what I mean by the whole street-wear thing. I love dressing and drawing people in skirts, dressy blouses and in a generally classy air so this is partly, not new, but a switch in what I’ve been drawing. It probably has to do with the inspiration at the time.
My music to the movies I watch inspire me greatly so because I was watching Nine, right now I want to draw everything that’s related to Italy in the 60’s… I’m in love with Italy…
New Year!
Happy New Year!
Good God it’s hard to believe that where in the year 2011, my graduation year! It’s too much to take, and with a new year comes the final crack down! Time to get everything done, like college applications and portfolios for some… -cough, cough- and also time to get caught up, that’s why I’m going to dump a whole bunch of artwork right now!
This one I did in art one day, I truthfully am very iffy on this one when it comes to submitting this in a portfolio, it’s much more detailed but I don’t think it truly shows all that I can do, especially since my strong point with designing seems to be painting. It would probably just look better painted… maybe, I don’t know….
I’m also thinking this will be my leaning for street-wear because anytime I draw something that’s anything that someone would actually wear on the street it looks like this, or you could say leans this way. The whole inspiration basically behind this one was my love for the rocker-ish, military look. I was in love with military jackets… I was so happy when I finally got one….
I always go through phases of things I want, whether it’s anything thing the color blue, or a certain style of clothing; like how through the whole summer I wanted boat neck type shirts and anything striped.
